Look what the Google Alerts found. A polling memo posted to Scribd from a California polling company shows Martin Heinrich leading Heather Wilson by four points (49-45) while voter perceptions of Wilson are increasingly negative, despite a $650,000 pro-Wilson ad blitz by Crossroads GPS and others.
Among other findings, according to the memo, are that ads highlighting Wilson’s record on environmental issues as well as those in support of Wilson are connecting with voters. Of those who say they have heard or read something about Wilson, a plurality are more likely to say that she is on the side of big oil companies and special interests, and more a Washington insider than on the side of New Mexicans.
