Legislative Town Hall w Rep. Liz Thomson & Sen. Bill Tallman

Staying in touch with my constituents is crucial when it comes to doing my job as your State Representative, that’s why I am holding my second Town Hall of 2017 to talk about the legislation we worked on during this year’s session and to hear your thoughts on the issues and challenges facing our community. Please join me and special guest State Senator Bill Tallman on Wednesday, April 26th. Full details are below:

Congress is about to go on break, are you ready for more town halls?

Congress is set to be off for quite a bit of the month of April. According to the Washington Post, the House is only scheduled to be in session for EIGHT days this month. With all that time off, it’s likely we’ll see some of New Mexico’s congressional delegation back home and talking with constituents. While we’re generally pretty happy with the job our congressional delegation is doing in Washington, it’s always good to be aware of what key issues our congress people and senators are working on. And in southern New Mexico especially, holding Rep. Steve Pearce accountable for the LACK of representation he gives us is absolutely key.

This Saturday, Congressman Steve Pearce will be in Las Cruces for a town hall meeting. We hope to have as many good progressive voters as possible show up to keep the pressure on Pearce (who knows how long we’ll have to wait to see him in Dona Ana County again). We’ve prepared this one-page sheet for your convenience to have a little background on some of his most notable positions on issues we know you care about. Feel free to print it out and bring it along, or just save it to your phone so you can ask well-informed questions on Saturday! read more of our stories on Steve Pearce here
