Learn About New Mexico’s Election Protections and Resources

New Mexico law (SB 264) keeps federal troops and armed federal personnel away from polling places, their parking areas, and within 50 feet of ballot drop boxes during the 28 days before an election through Election Day. Voter intimidation – inside or outside the polls – is illegal. Federal authorities still have lawful duties under federal law, this is about making sure no one is harassed or frightened at the ballot box.
