Before we end 2017, please consider one last thing for your 2018 to-do list: making a year-end gift to help us start 2018 off right!
Six years ago, Susana Martinez had just finished her first year in office promising that big corporate tax cuts would create New Mexico jobs. That wasn’t true and we knew it, but Democrats and Republicans alike bought in. ALEC was adding new members in New Mexico and the Koch brothers were testing out new state-based strategies to attack unions and lower wages.
We started ProgressNow’s network in New Mexico because we were tired of waiting for someone else to take on the fight.
Today, that network is one of the state’s biggest and most vocal unapologetically progressive organizations, and the undisputed go-to source of progressive news for the state.
With Trump in the White House and the possibility of Steve Pearce ending up in Roundhouse, New Mexico has never needed progressive leaders and actions more. So, we are beefing up education, training programs, and community events to continue to build the progressive movement state-wide.
This holiday season, you can help some of New Mexico’s most effective community advocates gear up for the fight. Every donation to our 501C3 ProgressNow Education Fund through the end of 2017 will aid in continuing the resistance. Your donations will go towards efforts that include:
Tracking and reporting on the impact of Trump on New Mexico
Continuing the fight against attacks on women and healthcare rights
Engaged and organized help to support and defend our public lands
Increased capacity in organizing communities of color across NM
Support in efforts to organize immigrant families as they/we prepare and respond in an age of Trump
And, your donation to ProgressNowNM’s 501C3 Education Fund is tax-deductible.
Dozens of our top supporters have already stepped up to make their year-end gift you join us by making a year-end gift of $25, $50 or $100? Every donation helps. We appreciate your belief and support. We look forward to working hard for you in 2018.
