Steve Pearce, 'Most Corrupt,' Stronger NM, 8/18

For weeks, progressives who know the real Steve Pearce have been organizing via social media to push back on Pearce’s glowing television ads attempting to cast him as a moderate candidate for governor.

Now they have some big league backup.

The New Mexico-based political action committee Stronger NM launched its first ad of the race today profiling Pearce’s status as the “most corrupt” member of Congress and his close association with the oil and gas industry.

Importantly, the Democratic Governor’s Association helped to announce the ad buy, giving their approval to Stronger NM’s program and ads to help elect the country’s only Democratic Latina governor.

This race is closer than you think.

A brand new Emerson College poll conducted August 17-18 shows just a 2-point lead for Lujan Grisham, well within the margin of error and the closest this race has been all year.
