Sweeping Change: Thousands of New Mexicans join No Kings protest

There are signs everywhere that Trump’s grip on America is weakening…

From cities and towns banding together to stop masked anonymous ICE agents to workers flexing union and labor power at demonstrations, people are practicing the deeply held values of civil disobedience and freedom of speech that prompted Colonial founders to complete the US Constitution on March 4, 1789.

These actions serve as a reminder  that we are not alone. When we gather and ask “how can we reinforce each other, our nation, and our Constitution,” we have power.

Thousands of New Mexicans across the state joined millions in cities like New York, Boston, San Francisco, and Chicago in once again uplifting those values at No Kings rallies across the state. Below are a few scenes from Albuquerque, Los Lunas, Las Cruces, Ruidoso, Española, Farmington, and Taos.

Chaos and horror unfolded at the no kings protest in Las Cruces today. I was TERRIFIED of all the terrifying rioting going on and all the war torn streets #nokingsdayprotest #nokingsinamerica
