Reproductive Justice Intern
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Reproductive Justice Intern to support the work of the Reproductive Justice Manager. This role is crucial for advancing our strategy on reproductive justice through collaboration with coalitions, project and campaign development, and values-based messaging. The intern will assist in both digital and in-person communication efforts, ensuring a comprehensive approach to reproductive justice advocacy.
**This is a full time, remote, year long position, with the possibility of permanent employment at the end of the term. Position includes occasional evenings and weekends.
**$16/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES OF INTERN
- Attend coalition and internal meetings alongside the Reproductive Justice Manager.
- Contribute to the development of digital toolkits for reproductive rights, health, and justice campaigns.
- Assist in the development and distribution of resources to support community members and partner organizations with digital materials such as digital toolkits or educational materials.
- Monitor social media channels for misinformation and disinformation.
- Create and curate content for social media platforms, including Meta, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Track and report on anti-abortion movements and key figures.
- Provide general administrative support to the Reproductive Justice Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF ORGANIZATION
- Train and support intern on all aspects of organization and role.
- Opportunities for learning about the broader reproductive justice movement in New Mexico and Nationwide.
- Support intern in their professional development through tailored training (internal and external) based on candidates’ needs within the scope of the role.
- Provide timely feedback and edits on work produced.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to reproductive justice work in communities of color, public interest and/or youth issues. We’re looking for inspired, goal-driven and results-oriented individuals who demonstrate a commitment to reproductive justice and youth empowerment, with a desire to increase their knowledge and skills in the non-profit sector
*Experience in digital, organizing, or mobilization, political organization, or campaign is a plus. Bilingual applicants (in Spanish or Indigenous languages) will be given priority.
